Alongside our creative, handcrafted designs, we offer you the opportunity to commission a custom piece made precisely to your specifications. Whether you want to bring a special idea to life, personalize one of our existing designs, or create a one-of-a-kind gift for a meaningful occasion, we will guide you every step of the way – from the initial sketch to the finished masterpiece. Rag Doll reserves the right to decline commissions that do not align with our values or artistic direction. We may also refuse a project at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
SECTION 1 - PRICING AND PAYMENT
Custom pieces are priced individually and will generally cost more than standard collection items, reflecting the time, materials, and skill involved.
An initial deposit of 30% of the agreed-upon price is required before any work begins. This deposit secures your commission and covers initial design and material costs.The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery of the finished piece. All payments are to be made via the methods specified by Rag Doll. We encourage you to have a realistic budget in mind; we will advise you on what is possible within your range.
SECTION 2 - CONSULTATION, DESIGN PROCESS AND TIMELINE
The design process includes an initial consultation and up to two rounds of revisions. Additional revisions may incur extra charges. Once the final design is approved, no further changes can be made without additional costs and possible delays.
We will discuss materials, stones, and sizing as part of the initial consultation. Any changes after materials are ordered may incur additional charges.
Please communicate your ideas, preferences, and any relevant details clearly during the consultation phase. Rag Doll is not responsible for omissions or misunderstandings arising from incomplete information.
Final approval of the design is binding; subsequent changes may be subject to additional fees and extended timelines.
Production timelines will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins. While we strive to meet agreed deadlines, delays may occur due to material availability or the complexity of the design. You will be notified promptly of any significant changes to the timeline.
SECTION 3 - REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
The initial deposit is non-refundable, as it covers design time and materials already purchased.
No refunds or returns are permitted on completed custom jewelry, except in the case of a manufacturing fault.
If you cancel your order after work has begun, the deposit will be retained to cover costs incurred.
SECTION 4 - OWNERSHIP AND REPRODUCTION
Custom designs are not exclusive. Rag Doll reserves the right to reproduce any custom design for general sale unless otherwise agreed in writing. All design concepts, sketches, and intellectual property remain the property of Rag Doll.
SECTION 5 - DELIVERY
Completed custom pieces will be shipped after final payment is received. Delivery times and shipping costs are the same as for non-custom pieces. Please see our Shipping page for more information.
